Jesse entered four WISSOTA Late Model Challenge Series events over the holiday weekend and recorded a pair of top ten finishes for his efforts. Thursday, at the Halvor Lines Speedway in Proctor for the annual Silver 1000, he won his heat from the outside of the front row before starting 6th in the main and racing up to the runner up spot before the checkered flag flew.
Friday, at the Grand Rapids Speedway in Grand Rapids, MN for the track’s annual WISSOTA Classic, he started 4th and raced up to 3rd in his heat race but unfortunately the feature rained out. Saturday and Sunday, he competed at the Hibbing Raceway in Hibbing, MN for the track’s 2-day Labor Day Shootout.
Saturday, Jesse fell out of his heat race, which caused him to start 11th in the b-main and he was able to rally up to a 2nd place finish, locking himself into the feature. In the main, he started 19th and again passed a ton of cars on his way forward to a 7th place finish.
Sunday, he started 7th and raced up to 3rd in the heat race, but unfortunately was involved in a crash in the feature and ended his weekend early.
