Glenz visits Humboldt Speedway for King of America
Jesse made his first visit to the Humboldt Speedway in Humboldt, KS over the weekend for the annual King of America USMTS Modified weekend. The weekend was scheduled to be a triple header, but Mother Nature rained out the Thursday night portion of the event, forcing a three day event into a mega-two day marathon. (Cody Papke photo)
Friday, Jesse qualified on the pole for his heat race and went on to win it, earning the 11th starting spot for the night’s $5,000 to win main event. In the feature, Jesse ran inside the top ten early and then settled in to the fifteenth running spot, where he crossed the finish line.
Saturday, he again qualified on the front row of his heat race and went on to win his heat for the second night in a row, earning the 16th starting position for the $20,000 to win main event. In the feature, he was involved in an early race altercation, suffering some damage, but was able to complete all 60-laps, crossing the finish line 23rd.
